Business and personal skills

In addition to the longer modules, trainees also will tackle a series of shorter challenges:

  • “Soft skills” such as communications, presentations, and team leadership
  • Presentations from experts in business and government
  • Weekly discussions with a business mentor who will help them prepare for the “boots to suits” transition.

Teamwork and unity

Throughout the class, trainees work long hours, often in teams, and learn from great teachers who go the extra mile to help everyone pass the certification exams. The entire group lives and works together at the National Conference Center, a quiet retreat in Leesburg, Virginia.

Our hope is to continue running multiple courses per year, add more business focus areas, and keep the program going strong for years to come.
